Fair Play

Code of Conduct

For Parents, Coaches, Officials, Players

Your Role as a Lacrosse Parent:

You are the Biggest Influence on your Athlete

Be a Role Model to your Athlete, encourage him/her and others on the floor to play hard at all times.

Emphasize fun and skill development at all times to your Athlete

Do your best to understand the Rules of Lacrosse; it will help everyone when the Official makes a call

Enjoy the Experience, Control your emotions and police others in the Arena. If you are uncomfortable with any situation, find a Volunteer to help.

Your Role as a Lacrosse Coach:

One of the Biggest Influences on the Athlete is you

Teach your Athlete the Skills and the Rules needed to play the great game of Lacrosse

Encourage him/her to play hard at all times and to play by the Rules you have taught them

Always do your best to Control your emotions on the bench; your players are watching you

Respect the Officials; they are there to help the pace of the game and to call infractions

Your Role as a Lacrosse Official:

Be a Positive influence on the Athlete

Show Respect to the Coaches, Parents and Athletes

Keep the pace of the game going

Explain Calls to the Coach or the Captain when asked to do so

Enjoy the experience; it is supposed to be fun

Your Role as a Lacrosse Player:

Always listen to your Coach while playing

Show Respect for the Officials and your Fellow Competitors

Always Play Fair and by the Rules you were taught

Always Play hard and to the best of Your Abilities

Encourage your Teammates at all times, and have Fun

There are four main groups of people involved in our great game of Lacrosse; the Parents, the Coaches, the Officials and the Athletes. How these groups interact and treat each other before, during and after the game will greatly influence whether all the participants have had a positive experience. Let’s show each other respect to guarantee that this happens.

Thank you and enjoy the game;
MMLL EXECUTIVE

"Anyone not following this Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the Arena"
